Rivers Agile is a regional leader in software innovation that provides QA professional services and custom software development and consulting. Recently, we have delivered software solutions to the energy, education, healthcare and predictive analytics industries; and we have maintained a strong trajectory of growth. In support of our continued growth, we are adding multiple QA Consultants to our team.

Our QA Consulting team provides:

  • Process Improvement, including the overall costs associated with development and testing
  • Manual Testing, including functional, negative and boundary testing
  • Test Case Automation, using HP QuickTest Professional, Selenium and Microsoft Visual Studio, Appium
  • Team Foundation Server, implementation and customization
  • Key Metrics Reporting, including requirement coverage, defect distribution by status and phase, burn down charts and more

Desired Competencies

  • A proven ability to improve the impact of Quality Assurance within an organization
  • A BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of software quality assurance experience, to include a minimum of 3 years in a lead role or management position
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members and promoting ownership
  • A desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability
  • Strong understanding of different software development life cycles and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools
  • Are extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
  • Experience in test automation

POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a top-notch Software Engineer who always sweats the small stuff and cares about impeccable code. A successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performant software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Software Engineer responsibilities will include development, writing code, and documenting functionality for both web and mobile solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute full lifecycle software development
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Perform code reviews
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions
  • Work with the team to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution
  • Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule

IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 4+ years experience
  • Ability to develop software in JavaScript, Ruby or other selected languages
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases and ORM technologies
  • Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (Angular 1 or 2, React, Ruby on Rails)
  • Experience developing mobile applications with at least one popular hybrid or native framework (Ionic, React Native, NativeScript)
  • Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working in a team environment

Product Manager

Product Manager

Rivers Agile is looking for a Product Manager to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone technical enough to engage in design and lead a scrum, but with excellent communication and leadership skills.

We’re tech pros and problem solvers by nature, striving to understand our customer’s needs and unique situations in order to provide the right technology solutions. On any given day we’re brainstorming new ideas, creating custom software, and educating the next group of innovators at our code school.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This role requires implementing solid project management skills, driving both ongoing and special projects through collaboration, and stakeholder engagement and communication. The ideal candidate must be a quick learner, comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, and know how to find answers to unknowns in a timely and logical manner.

The Product Manager will take a lead role in discovering requirements, engaging with development partners, and leading the design, development, and deployment of new applications that meet the needs of our customers. He/she will simultaneously manage multiple projects while keeping the big picture in mind as to what is best for the product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and provide expertise on complex, technical projects from concept through analysis, design and execution.
  • Manage relationships successfully across technology and business stakeholders.
  • Document and prioritize (and de-prioritize) requirements effectively according to business capability and schedules.
  • Manage the overall quality, cost, schedule and development of projects and brands in scope of responsibility and across multiple disciplines.
  • Establish and communicate key milestone dates and manage to those appropriately.
  • Assess and report out actions, issues and progress made toward key objectives.
  • Identify and analyze potential risks to proactively mitigate and prevent issues.
  • Prepare and assemble meeting notes and recaps and other reports.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • The desire to do what is best for the product and the business.
  • Willingness and excitement to work in a fast-paced, but sometimes intense, rapidly expanding company.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous improvement in an application development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for various projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strengths in problem solving and issue resolution, ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Experience creating and managing timelines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
