Rivers Agile Code School
Our Code School is offered as a 12-week boot camp and provides hands-on, in-person, collaborative learning after business hours, allowing you to take an alternative path for education.
As Pittsburgh continues to develop into a major national tech hub, the need for qualified tech professionals has increased as the pool of qualified candidates continues to shrink. That’s why we decided to offer our own unique solution by providing a code school to train and grow the next generation of qualified Pittsburgh techies.
We’ll immerse you into a curriculum including real world projects to help you gain work experience with job placement, whether with Rivers Agile or another Pittsburgh-based company. Students have the opportunity to choose from two different learning paths, detailed below. Each boot camp is taught by one of our experienced consultants over a 12-week period.

“It’s really hard to find good web developers or QA analysts in Pittsburgh, so we decided to train them ourselves,” said Ben Wilson, Founder and CEO at Rivers Agile. “Code Schools are a growing trend; as 16,000 Americans graduated from one of the 68 schools across the country in 2015 – but Rivers Agile Code School is the only Pittsburgh-based option.”
Breaking things is fun and that’s how we got our start. We continue to raise expectations of how proper Quality Assurance can benefit organizations. This bootcamp is broken down into three parts to help you learn the foundational skills needed to create a proactive QA presence. They include Core QA Fundamentals, Learning Databases with SQL and Browser Automation with Selenium. You’ll leave with the knowledge to be a driving force in producing high-quality, ready-for-market software products.
